Who am i

I built my career around one simple idea: clarity wins.

As a strategist, I help leaders see what others miss. My work has taken me from military operations to billion-dollar hospitality companies to high-pressure event and destination strategy. The environments change, but the job stays the same: sharpen decisions, cut through noise, and create direction where everyone else sees chaos.

As an educator, I teach strategy to executives and students who are convinced they are not strategy people. They usually change their minds. I love the moment when someone realizes that strategy is not just an abstract theory. It is a practical skill that makes work and life a lot less confusing.

As an author, I write the way I think. Direct. Useful. A little irreverent. My book, Apex Competitor, was born from years of teaching strategy and engaging in conversations with leaders who wanted a straightforward strategy book that sounded human and actually helped them compete.

Outside of work, I am a husband, dad, runner, and chronic overcommiter. I take my work seriously, but I try not to take myself too seriously. It keeps everything grounded.

If you are here because you read my work or want to understand how I think, you are in the right place. I believe strategy should be clear, practical, and accessible to anyone willing to think a little deeper.
